Tony Randazzo

Why Radio?  Well because I never could figure out the answer to the question “what do you want to do when you grow up”.  At 15 years old I owned a CB radio, and I would stay up all hours of the night talking to random sketchy people so when I parents pressed me to decide where I wanted to go to college I jokingly asked, “Is there such a thing as a college that teaches how to talk on the radio?” Turns out, there is! I got enrolled at the New England School of Communications in Bangor and off into radio I go.

Why CLZ?  At CLZ I can be myself and talk like a person and play great music no other station will play.

What would people be most surprised to learn about you?  I used to stay up all night working for Steven King! (That is, I was the overnight DJ on one of the radio stations he owns in Bangor, 100.3 WKIT).

What was your first concert?  It was either Bryan Adams or Def Leppard at the Cumberland County Civic Center back in 1993 ish. I forget which one was first.

What’s your favorite place in Maine?  My mancave of course!  I have a big TV with a classic Nintendo and Super Nintendo system where I waste away my winter.  In the summer my favorite place is the backyard where I have a firepit and blueberry bushes.  Oh, you meant my favorite PUBLIC place?   Well I find myself at the ocean quite a bit, especially Higgins Beach (If I can find parking) and anywhere the waves are crashing!

What is your secret talent?  I can tell the difference between butter and I can’t believe it’s not butter!
