Why radio?
I love to play music that I get excited about for other people who might feel the same way. I was blessed to have 6 older siblings who introduced me to music I never would have heard otherwise. Also, my Dad was a Jazz piano player, so I’ve been around music my whole life. It was a perfect fit!
Why CLZ?
Different IS good. REAL music. Not that there’s anything wrong with what I call, “bubble gum” music. Believe me, I’ve been known to crank some dance records in my car, (LOVE that Bruno Mars!) but the music on CLZ is really where my music taste lies the most.
What would people be most surprised to learn about you?
I studied Vocal Performance in college, but there’s not a heck of a lot of demand for Opera singers, so….. RADIO!
What was your first concert?
Bryan Adams opened up for Journey. 1982-ish? Bryan Adams was so much better, I’m afraid to say.
What is your favorite place in Maine?
Acadia National Park. I’ve been on a few hikes there and can NOT get enough of that beautiful place.
What is your secret talent?
I can sing Italian Opera and play a mean trumpet. And I mean, MEAN.
Most embarrassing moment?
I interviewed Rodney Harrison right after he joined the NE Patriots. My co-worker at the time was supposed to do it, but he was sick and begged me to do it at the very last minute. I should have said, “no, I’m sorry. I can’t.” But…. I didn’t. I’m sure Rodney still talks about “that interview, that one time.” EEEESH!
