Traffic is back to normal on Lower Guinea Road in Lebanon after it was closed for several hours on Thursday because of a suspicious object on the roadside.
York County deputies brought in the State Bomb Squad to investigate the object.
It appeared to look dangerous, but deputies say the object turned out to be a discarded vehicle audio energy storage reinforcement capacitor.
Officers say there was no threat to the public.

The York County Sheriff’s Office announced a traffic advisory for the road between 472 and 380 Lower Guinea Rd in Lebanon, Maine. According to the Sheriff, William L. Keing Jr., they were contacted regarding a suspicious object on the side of the roadway. The Sheriff’s Office contacted the State Bomb Squad, and they are currently evaluating the situation. The Sheriff asks that the public avoid the area while the investigation is happening and will update more on when the road will be back open.
