Maine Forest Rangers are reporting three wildfires across Maine on Tuesday as the entire state is under a high fire danger.
Rangers say two of the fires in Biddeford and Penobscot County’s Mount Chase were caused by campfire mishaps, while a third was burning 1.5 acres and was 0 percent contained in Spencer Bay Township in Piscataquis County.

The new fires come after the Track Fire in Baileyville was burning 30 acres Monday in Washington County.
Maine Forest Service says they’ve dealt with multiple fires since last weekend.
Rangers are advising that when the fire danger is high or above, the online open burning permit system automatically stops issuing open burning permits.
