Wild Car Chase Goes Through Multiple Maine Town Ends With an Arrest

Andrew Wright/(The Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office)

A wild, multi-town police chase ends with a suspect in handcuffs after tearing through fields, neighborhoods, and a public park.

The Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office says the chaos started Thursday when a caller reported a heavily damaged, stolen pickup truck doing donuts in Hudson.

Deputies say the driver fled, repeatedly crossing into oncoming traffic and intentionally ramming two cruisers.

Even after spike strips destroyed the truck’s tires, the driver kept going on raw rims into Corinth, where another truck finally blocked him in a parking lot.

Twenty-two-year-old Andrew Wright faces a laundry list of charges, including eluding an officer and criminal mischief.

Remarkably, no injuries were reported.
