A 40-year-old Union man will serve 10 years in prison for trafficking kilogram quantities of fentanyl and cocaine from New York to Maine.

Court records show Kenneth Adams trafficked fentanyl and cocaine from sources of supply in the Bronx to mid-level drug dealers in Knox County for further distribution between December 2023 and June 2024.

Prosecutors say Adams carried at least one firearm during his drug trafficking activity.

He was sentenced Monday in federal court in Portland after pleading guilty in December 2024.

Adams will serve eight years of supervised release following his prison sentence.

Homeland Security Investigations and the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency investigated the case.
