Two people have injuries from a crash in Windham Wednesday that slowed traffic on Route 302, also known as Roosevelt Trail.

Windham Police say a pickup truck hauling a car carrier trailer had pulled to the side of the road to change a flat tire when the trailer was hit from behind by a car.

Officers say two people in the car were taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, and Route 302 was reduced to one lane for about an hour.

Police say speed and alcohol do not appear to be factors in the crash, and no criminal charges are expected.

The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office assisted the Windham Police Department with the initial crash investigation.

The crash took place at about 11:10 am Wednesday.
