A 34-year-old Topsham man, Christopher Tucker, will serve more than six years in prison after pleading guilty to stealing 20 firearms from a residence in Brunswick last year.

Court records show that in May of 2024, Brunswick Police were sent to a residence after a citizen reported suspicious activity.

Police say they found the door of the residence’s garage was open and cabinets inside appeared to have been pried open, with ammunition scattered on the floor.

Officers say they located a vehicle matching the description provided by the reporting witness.

They say Tucker, the owner and only occupant of the vehicle, fled on foot but was quickly tracked down and arrested.

Officers say they then recovered 20 firearms from his vehicle, all of which had been stolen from inside the Brunswick residence.

Tucker had been prohibited from possessing firearms due to multiple prior felony convictions.

He pleaded guilty to several charges earlier this year, including being a felon in possession of firearms and possessing stolen firearms.

Tucker was sentenced Tuesday in Portland by U.S. District Judge Nancy Torresen to 75 months in prison to be followed by 3 years of supervised release.
