A 33-year-old Portland woman faces charges after police say she led them on a chase in a stolen van from Yarmouth to Freeport to Portland before stalling out on railroad tracks Thursday afternoon.
Officers say Deserai Collins hit police cruisers twice and drove the wrong way on an I-295 ramp during the chase.
Two officers received minor injuries while Collins was apprehended, with one officer briefly going to a hospital.
Collins faces six separate charges.
She was taken to a hospital as a precautionary measure before being taken to Cumberland County Jail.
Police originally got a call at 1:30 pm Thursday about a van was stolen from Pedego electric bikes of Portland.
The chase took place along I295 and Route 1 in the Portland area. Yarmouth Police cruisers were hit twice during the chase, once after the van stopped at an I-295 off ramp, where police say an officer was almost struck.
