Danforth was also charged with possession of a firearm by a prohibited person while Witham was also charged with violation of conditions of release.

They were taken to the Somerset County Jail where bail was set at $50,000 cash for Danforth. Witham is being held without bail.

Fairfield Police say because an investigation is still open, the drug type and weight are not being release at this time.

Officers say they were assisted on scene by the Somerset County Sheriff’s Office, Waterville, Maine, Police Department, Clinton Maine Police Department and Maine State Police.
