Social worker enters race for Maine’s 2nd Congressional District

A social worker from Old Town is the latest Democratic candidate to enter the race for Maine’s 2nd Congressional District.

Paige Loud announced Friday morning that she’ll be running to advocate for rural Mainers.

In her statement, Loud said she’ll serve the Maine people “and not donors, corporations or party leadership.”

Incumbent Democrat Jared Golden says he won’t be running for re-election in the district, which voted for Trump in the last three presidential elections.
