There are no formal classes on Monday at Scarborough High School after the death of an assistant principal in a reported car crash.

Superintendent Diane Nadeau announced Jacob Brown’s death Sunday and said there would be no regular classes or vocational programming Monday.

A letter to families said students would be welcomed at 10 am, with the day being intentionally designed for students and staff to come together for support as needed.

Individual and small group counseling is taking place until about 2:30 pm Monday.

After-school activities were to take place as normal, but without any attendance being taken at Scarborough High School.

No details have been released about the car crash involving Assistant Principal Jacob Brown.

The letter to families said there would likely be the need for another 2 hour delay for Scarborough High School on Tuesday, following an academic schedule.
