Scarborough Amtrak Death Ruled Suicide

Scarborough Police are reporting that a person killed after being hit by an Amtrak train over the weekend died by suicide.

The Scarborough fire and police departments were sent to train tracks near the Pine Point Road overpass at about 7 pm Saturday, where the person had been hit.

The victim was declared dead at the scene.

Police say their investigation has now concluded that the incident was a suicide.

WGAN is not identifying the suicide victim or the person’s age and city of residence, which was released by Scarborough Police.
