There are no injuries from a crash involving a tractor trailer and two cars at the intersection of Route 5 and Route 2 in Bethel Saturday morning.

Police say snowy roads, speed and not paying attention all contributed to the crash in which a Volvo traveling north on Route 5 failed to stop at the intersection and slid into an oncoming tractor trailer.

The tractor trailer then began sliding and was hit by another vehicle.

Deputies did not say if anyone was cited in the crash.

The Oxford County Sheriff’s Office says 22-year-old Fiona Hume of Braintree, Massachusetts was driving a 2016 Volve that failed to stop at the intersection and hit the semi.

Deputies say the truck driver was 57-year-old Scott Lee of Jackman, Maine, and the driver of the third vehicle, a 2016 Toyota RAV 4, was 39-year-old Meagan Lunney of Bethel.

The RAV 4 was drivable from the crash, while the semi and the Volvo had to be towed from the scene.

Meanwhile, traffic flow is back to normal after Maine State Police reported more than 50 crashes on the Maine Turnpike and I-295 during Saturday morning snowfall in southern Maine.

There were crashes and slide offs primarily between Kittery and Falmouth with a higher concentration in Saco.

No injuries were reported in the slew of crashes.
