Residents of a mobile home park in Wiscasset say they are still living without running water despite a state mandated deadline to install a new well Friday.

Residents told CBS 13 that they have been experiencing water issues since February. Despite being assured that the issues would soon be resolved, residents continue to see park management fail to follow through.

“They just keep saying they’re going to fix it,” resident Harold Small said. “And it will come on for a little while and then it will go back off.”

Drilling for a new well is scheduled to begin next week, but because of the time it takes to install the well and test the water before it can be used, residents won’t have water access for at least another two to three weeks.

Deliveries of bottled water are being made to the park in the meantime, but residents say they’re still racking up costs because of the issue.

The state says it is in contact with park management to make sure progress is being made.
