Portland Police Still Looking for Weekend Bank Robbery Suspect

Police are still looking for a suspect after a bank robbery on Brighton Avenue in Portland over the weekend.

The robbery took place at the Bangor Savings Bank Saturday in the 9 am hour, with a suspect taking an undisclosed amount of cash and escaping into a wooded area behind the building.

The Maine State Police and Westbrook Police Department both provided K9 support and spent hours trying to track down the suspect but were not successful.

The suspect was wearing a red hooded sweatshirt, green pants, navy blue shoes, blue gloves with a mask and sunglasses. He is reported to be 5’8” with a stocky build.
