PORTLAND, Maine (WGAN) — A special community event is coming to Portland next month to support a local family following a major health milestone.

“Tee Off for Doc,” an evening filled with trivia, tunes, and tee time, is scheduled for Thursday, July 16, 2026, at minibar on Marginal Way. The event is designed to bring community members together to celebrate and support “Doc” following his recent kidney transplant, centering around some of his absolute favorite things.

Many in the local community already know Doc’s wife, Katie Zarrilli, through her popular and highly relatable Maine content on Instagram and Facebook. She is perhaps most locally recognizable as the woman behind the viral “16 counties – one woman show” reels. Adding to her community presence, Real Maine Mom recently featured Katie as the special guest emcee at the 2026 Kids’ Pick Awards.

Now, Real Maine Mom is partnering with minibar to create this meaningful opportunity for the community to show up for both Doc and Katie.

Attendees can look forward to a fun-filled night out with family or friends featuring:

  • A round of mini golf

  • Sports and Maine-themed trivia

  • Live music by local favorites Hello Newman

  • Raffles and exciting local prizes

EVENT DETAILS:

  • When: Thursday, July 16, 2026 (Doors open at 5:00 PM)

  • Where: minibar, 265 Marginal Way, Portland, ME

  • Admission: Advance tickets are $25 for adults and $10 for children. All attendees require a ticket.

Adult admission includes one round of mini golf, entry into the trivia tournament (subject to availability; pre-registration is highly recommended), one raffle ticket, and access to the live music performance.

To support the family and secure your spot, tickets can be purchased in advance online HERE
