Four Portland businesses all located within a block of each other were vandalized Wednesday night.

State Theatre, Local 188, YF Coffee and Pearl Gallery, all located on Congress Street, were damaged.

Portland Police said the coffee shop and the State Theatre have a broken window, while the door at Local 188 was damaged.

It comes as Portland Police also investigate break-ins at two West End businesses that happened the previous night.

The owner of the Ugly Duckling bakery and cafe on Danforth Street says someone broke in and tried to steal a cash register Tuesday night but fled when they realized she was doing prep work in the back.

It happened the same night someone broke into Smalls, a nearby coffee shop on Brackett Street.
