No Injuries, Schools Secure After Shots Fired in Lewiston

A person faces charges after Lewiston Police say they quickly tracked them down for firing shots near 235 Bartlett Street Thursday afternoon.

Police say they quickly secured the area and no injuries were reported.

Lewiston Public School Superintendent Jake Langlais posted on social media that police had informed them of the shooting.

Langlais noted it was an adult incident and said schools were able to continue activities as normal.

Police said there was no ongoing threat to the public.
