Naples man charged with murder in deadly biker gang confrontation appears in court

Four people charged in connection with a gang-related shooting in Portland’s Morrill’s Corner will be tried together.

A fight between rival motorcycle gangs in Portland last summer led to the fatal shooting of 54-year-old Susan McHugh.

According to the Portland Press Herald, 47-year-old Aaron Karp of Naples, who appeared in court on Monday, will be tried separately after pleading not guilty to murder.

A group of four other people who face one charge each of assault and conspiracy to commit assault will be tried together, while police continue to search for another person who faces the same charges.
