Multiple Buildings Damaged in Portland Garage Fire

There’s extensive damage from a garage fire that reportedly hit multiple buildings on Castine Avenue in Portland on Monday afternoon.

Portland firefighters say the “All Hands Fire” at 31 Castine Avenue was elevated to 3-Alarms, with numerous departments being called in to assist.

Traffic on nearby Forest Avenue in the area of Riverside Street was at a standstill while crews were battling the fire.

Portland Police were advising drivers to avoid the area at 3:25 pm Monday, although traffic was flowing again by 4 pm.

There were no reports of injuries.
