Motorcyclist Dead in Whitefield Crash

A 21-year-old man is dead from a motorcycle crash in Whitefield on Sunday morning.

The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office says the single motorcycle crash was reported just before 11 a.m. on the Vigue Road near the Windsor line.

Deputies say the motorcycle was a 2007 Kawasaki Ninja 250, and that speed and driver inexperience appear to be contributing factors.

The operator’s identity was not released to allow time for family notifications. He was wearing a helmet. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Vigue Road was closed till approximately 1:30 PM.
The crash remains under investigation. Any witnesses or persons who have information related to this crash are asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office.
