Bethel native Frank Del Duca piloted the American four-man bobsled team to a 12th-place finish at the Olympics in Italy Sunday.
Two teams from Germany won Gold and Silver, while a Swiss took the Bronze medal.
Del Duca had come close to medaling earlier in the Olympics with a fourth-place finish in the two-man bobsled competition.

This was Del Duca’s second Winter Olympics, after he previously represented Team USA in Beijing in 2022. He finished tied for 13th in those games.

He placed fourth in the 2025 World Bobsled Championships in New York, where he piloted his team to a fourth-place finish in two-man and four-man bobsled events.
Del Duca was one of two American flag bearers for the Opening Ceremonies. He’s an Italian American, with three of his four grandparents hailing from the country where the Olympics took place.
