Maine Troopers Deal with Scores of Crashes in Tuesday Snowstorm

Maine State Police were still dealing with crash scenes Tuesday evening after dealing with 34 crashes by late afternoon between the Interstate and Turnpike.
Officers say most of the crashes involved no injuries, and none involved serious injuries.

Many of the crashes have involved spinouts onto the side of the roadway, but one on I-95 in Hampden blocked both northbound lanes for several hours, with traffic slowly getting by.
Officers say that crash was cleared by 6:30 pm Tuesday.
Drivers have asked to drive with caution, keep their headlights on and give adequate space to others who are traveling.

Snowfall was expected to continue in the region through late Tuesday night.
