Dan Cashman’s beloved “The Nite Show” is coming to an end, with a star-studded 2nd to last episode featuring comedy icon David Letterman. “I am mentally, physically and emotionally exhausted about it all,” Cashman said about the show’s conclusion. “We set out to have some fun on TV, and it had some shelf life to it, and then just in the past few weeks, it just ballooned into this thing that I never could have expected for an end run to this local late-night talk show.”

The final episode, which marks a significant milestone in local television, features Cashman’s longtime idol, David Letterman. Reflecting on securing Letterman as his final guest, Cashman shared, “His presence here alone makes me feel even more so that we’ve gotten pretty good at it, and he could not have been more kind, genuine, funny and sincere. And I’m forever grateful that he made the trip up to do it.” The show has been overwhelmed by fan support, with Cashman noting, “My phone started blowing up… and everything I’ve been able to catch up with and read has been so nice and kind and heartfelt.”

The final episode of “The Nite Show” airs Saturday night around 10:30 PM (after baseball and the Fox 23 News at 10) and again at 1:00 AM on CBS 13, promising a nostalgic and memorable conclusion to a beloved local institution.
