Results from Monday’s Boston Marathon show two Mainers finished the race in the top 100.
The Maine field was led by 45-year-old Samuel Bradbury of Kittery, who finished 65th overall, with a time of 2:19:07
He was followed by 25-year-old Sammy Mills of Portland, who finished 95th, with a time of 2:22:46. Roman Krause, 24, of Waterville was the third Maine finisher with a time of 2:35:47
The top female finisher from Maine was 23-year-old Isabel May of Portland, who recorded a time of 2:51:51.
Results reported by the Boston Athletic Association show there were 165 entries from Maine in the race.
Overall, Kenyan John Korir won the 2026 Boston Marathon with a course record time of 2 hours 1 minute 52 seconds.
Korir also won the 2025 race. The previous course record was 2 hours, 3 minutes, and 2 seconds set in 2011.
Kenyan Sharon Lokedi was the top female finisher at 2 hours, 18 minutes, and 51 seconds. Lokedi also won the race in 2024, setting a course record 2:17:22.
