Vice President JD Vance will be campaigning to support Paul LePage in Bangor.

Vance will be speaking at the Bangor Airport on Thursday and said at a press conference this week he’ll be stumping for LePage, the former Maine governor who’s now running for Congress to represent Maine’s Second Congressional District.

Vance will also be speaking Thursday about the Trump administration’s crackdown on fraud.

Maine is among several states being targeted by the administration over claims of waste, fraud and abuse.

Vance’s visit also comes amid a closely-watched U.S. Senate race in the state, with Republican Susan Collins running for reelection against political newcomer and presumptive Democratic nominee Graham Platner.
