UPDATE:One person has injuries and a home is destroyed from scary-looking fire in Wells Sunday.
Firefighters say the fire with large flames also damaged two other homes on Atlantic Avenue, which was closed while crews were on the scene.
The state fire marshal is investigating the cause of the fire, but it’s thought a gasket may have started the fire.
The fire took place at a three-story home on the Wells coastal beachfront.
The condition of the injured person is not known.

The Wells Fire Department says they were working on containing a large house fire in Wells Sunday evening just after 6 pm.
The 4-alarm fire on Atlantic Avenue was emitting large flames, which looked to be threatening next door homes along the coast.

Atlantic Avenue was closed while crews were on the scene, and people were asked to avoid the area.
