Following a strong haze, Senior AccuWeather Meteorologist Heather Zehr said tomorrow will bring “summerlike” weather.

We’re not going to completely get rid of the haze tomorrow, but we are going to see a little less of it as the wind direction is shifting. That should bring less of the smoke directly from the source region,” said Zehr.

Alongside a shift in wind, a thunderstorm will take place across the Southern Maine area. Although the storm front could bring damaging winds, hail, or flooding downpours, Zehr said, “In general I think it’s going to feel summerlike tomorrow… a little bit of humidity, you’ve got the storms, you’ve got the warm temperatures.” It will “feel very much like you’d expect a June day to feel.”

Many Mainers have patiently waited for a June day, as a cold and rainy May plagued weekend plans. According to Meteorologist Christian Bridges of WGME, “most of the state has seen 10 Saturdays in a row with wet weather.” Looking ahead to this weekend, Zehr noted “unfortunately, it looks like Saturday is the day [for rain]… I really hate to do that… but here we are.
