SACO (WGAN)- After shutting down in 2020 due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, the popular amusement park announced on their Facebook page Monday morning that they are planning to be open for the 2021 season.

The amusement park announced that they will enforce all current Covid-related safety guidelines, and are working with the Maine CDC to ensure all of those measures are taken properly.  Funtown will have more limited hours throughout the summer, and less days of being open in May and June than traditionally scheduled.

They also said that their staff spent last summer making many improvements to the park, such as new and updated paint and stain schemes throughout the park, fence repair, tree and limb removal, refreshed signage, building repair, shingle replacement, among several other improvements.
