Friendship man suffers life-threatening injuries after car collides with mobile home

A man who drove his car into a mobile home that was being transported on a truck in Wiscasset on Wednesday suffered life-threatening injuries.

According to CBS 13 news, the crash happened around 5:30 a.m. Wednesday on Bath Road or Route 1 near Grover’s Auto. Police said the driver, a 25-year-old man from Friendship, crossed the center line and collided with the mobile home.

The man was taken to Midcoast Hospital then flown by Life Light to Maine Medical Center. There was no immediate word on his condition.

The road was closed for about six hours.

The crash is still under investigation.
