Five teenagers face charges after a series of vehicle break-ins were reported in the town of Madison, north of Skowhegan.

Somerset County deputies say they were notified about several car break-ins and a couple of broken windows at homes in Madison on Sunday.

In a news release on Thursday, officers say they identified five teenagers, all between 13 and 16 years old, as suspects.

The five teenagers now face numerous charges, including Burglary, Theft, Burglary of a Motor Vehicle, and Criminal Mischief.

Deputies say the investigation is ongoing and additional charges may be forthcoming once the case has been reviewed by the Somerset County District Attorney’s Office.

Any Madison residents who believe their vehicle may have been entered are being asked to contact the Somerset County Sheriff’s Office to file a report.
