Five People Arrested in Months-Long Midcoast Drug Trafficking Investigation

Five people face drug trafficking charges after a months-long investigation into the sale of Methamphetamine and cocaine from two residences in Searsport.

The Maine Drug Enforcement Agency says they also collected 30 firearms from the residences during a raid early Tuesday morning.

The Maine State Police Tactical Team was brought in to help make the arrests.

Officers say the investigation included several undercover purchases of both crack cocaine and methamphetamine from the residences.

The joint months-long investigation was conducted by the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency Mid-Coast Drug Task Force, the Waldo County Sheriff’s Office, and the Searsport Police Department

Those arrested include:

  • David Hersom, 65, of Searsport, charged with Unlawful Trafficking Schedule “W” Drugs class B. Bail set at $2500.00 cash.
  • Melissa Dyer, 47 of Searsport, charged with Unlawful trafficking Schedule “W” Drugs Class B. Bail set at $2500.00 cash
  • Holly Jo Ward, 42, of Searsport, charged with Aggravated trafficking Schedule “W” drugs class A. Bail set at $750 Cash
  • Yandril Mateo-Nunez, 20, of Lawrence, Massachusetts, charged with Aggravated Trafficking Schedule “W” Drugs Class A. $10,000.00 cash bail
  • Nelkis Alexander Villalona-Perez, 22, of Lawrence, Massachusetts, charged with Aggravated Trafficking Schedule “W” Drugs class A. $10,000.00 cash bail.
