Driver Fatigue Linked to Maine Turnpike Semi Crash

Maine State Police says that driver fatigue played a factor in a crash on the Maine Turnpike in Wells Monday night.

Police say the crash happened around 4:43 p.m. at mile marker 18.

Investigators say a tractor-trailer was travelling northbound when the driver lost control of the truck and went through the median guardrail.

The truck then crossed the southbound lanes before crashing into the tree line off the road.

The driver was not injured, and no other vehicles were involved in the crash.

The crash is still under investigation.

No citations have been issued.
