Deputies Say Alcohol, Speed Involved in Standish Crash

Standish Crash - Cumberland County Sheriff's Office

Deputies say alcohol and speed appear to be factors in a single-vehicle crash in Standish Sunday that left a 26-year-old man with injuries.
They say Anthony Black of Standish was driving northbound on Bonny Eagle Road when he went off the road, crashed into a telephone pole, snapping it in half, before his vehicle ended up on its passenger side.
Black was taken to Maine Medical Center with injuries, and Bonny Eagle Road was shut down for about 4 hours while deputies cleared the scene and CMP worked to fix the power lines.
The crash remains under investigation by the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office.
