A three-vehicle crash that sent multiple people to the hospital in Hebron Friday afternoon is under investigation.

Police say a 40-year-old Freeport woman was heading south on Route 119 when she hit a loaded Maine Energy Systems tanker truck head-on around 3:15 p.m.

A 20-year-old Norway man was driving behind her and also hit the truck, spinning out of control.

The Freeport woman was taken to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston with serious injuries.

The driver of the tanker truck, a 60-year-old Bethel man, was also hospitalized with serious injuries at Stephen’s Memorial Hospital in Norway.

A 22-year-old passenger in the third vehicle was taken to CMMC with non-life-threatening injuries.

A two-month-old passenger was not injured.
