Cooling Centers Open Today with Heat Advisory in Southern Maine

There’s a heat advisory is in effect from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. in Southern Maine today.

Feel-like temperatures, or heat index values, will hit the mid-90s on the coast and near 100 or higher inland.

Mainers are urged to limit outdoor activities, drink plenty of water, and wear light colored clothing. Please check on your elderly neighbors to make sure they are okay and never leave children or pets in parked vehicles.

The following is a list of colling centers open today from the Maine Emergency Management Agency:

Family Ice Arena Cumberland Falmouth Cooling Center  

20 Hat Trick Drive, Falmouth, ME. Open for Cooling Center during the summer season, Mon–Fri 4 a.m.–midnight; Sat & Sun 4 p.m.–9 p.m .
