AUBURN, Maine — A popular local spot is shut down indefinitely after a vehicle crashed directly through the front of the building overnight.

Heathco’s Pizza & Variety, located on Court Street, sustained extensive structural damage when a red sedan plowed through a wall around 2:23 a.m. Photos posted by the business showed the car sitting completely inside the store, surrounded by scattered debris and a gaping hole in the outer frame.

“Unfortunately, this is not AI-generated content,” the owners posted on social media. “We will be closed until further notice. Thank you!”

Details regarding what led up to the crash remain limited, and the condition of the driver is currently unknown. The Auburn Police Department has been contacted for additional information.
