Armed burglary suspect arrested in Belfast after shelter-in-place order

A burglary suspect was arrested in Belfast after a shelter-in-place order Tuesday morning.

Police say the suspect, Thatcher Jackson of Belfast, 24, fled into the woods after breaking into his ex-girlfriend’s bedroom on Chickadee Circle, leading to a search involving state and local police.

Jackson, who was considered armed and dangerous, was taken into custody Tuesday afternoon near East Side School.

He faces charges including criminal threatening and burglary and could face additional charges.
