One person died and three others were injured when part of a schooner broke off in Rockland on Monday morning.

According to The Portland Press Herald, the top of a mast on the Grace Bailey broke loose and fell while the boat was off the Rockland Breakwater.

One woman suffered an apparent serious head injury while three others were being treated offshore.

The Maine Marine Patrol said the Coast Guard is investigating the incident.

The paper writes that the sailboat is partly owned by actor Marc Evan Jackson, known for his television roles on shows including “Brooklyn Nine-Nine,” “The Good Place” and “Parks and Recreation.”

Jackson was not scheduled to be on board the boat during its four-night foliage cruise.
