Missing Girls from Oxford County School Found Safe

The two girls reported missing in Mexico have been found safe.

The Oxford County Sheriff’s Office initiated a search for the girls after learning they were missing at about 5 p.m. Wednesday.

State agencies, including the Maine Warden Service joined the search for the girls, who were found safe at 9:15 pm Wednesday.

The Maine Warden Service has reportedly joined a search for two girls who went missing from Mountain Valley Community School in Mexico.

The Oxford County Sheriff’s Office is leading the search for the two girls who went missing Wednesday afternoon.

One of the girls’ older sisters posted on social media that the two ran away from the school around the time of bus pickup at 2:15 p.m. and have not been seen since.

The older sister said one of the girls, Ellie, is wearing jeans and a blue coat and that the second girl, Addie, is wearing a black and puffy sweatshirt and pink glasses.
