Biddeford homeless encampment tent search results - Maine drug Enforcement Agency

A homeless man in Biddeford faces drug trafficking charges after being found with $14,000 worth of illicit drugs.

Maine drug enforcement agents and police say they conducted a two-month investigation before searching 28-year-old Brandon Gelsomini’s tent at a Biddeford encampment.

Officers say they found 120 grams of Fentanyl, 21grams of Cocaine Hydrochloride (powder), 5 grams of Cocaine Base (Crack), as well as other drug trafficking items in the tent, along with a loaded shotgun, and about $7,000.00 in suspected drug proceeds.

Gelsomini was arrested on charges of Aggravated Trafficking in Scheduled Drugs – Class A (School Zone, Firearm), along with Violation of Bail Conditions.

He’s currently being held without bail at the York County Jail with a court appearance scheduled for Friday

Officers say an investigation will continue, and additional arrests are expected.

Maine Drug Enforcement agents say Saco Police, Old Orchard Police, Biddeford Fire Department, and Biddeford Code Enforcement assisted in the search.
