CLZ would like to pay tribute to Dan Storper, co-host and founder of Putumayo World Music Hour, which has anchored our Sunday night programming for decades. Storper in his early career traveled throughout South America, finding comfort and love in the culture, lifestyle and music found there. In 1975 he brought that love to a retail store in New York where he sold handcrafted items from all around the world.  In the 1990s, Storper took another step with this passion for different cultures and decided to create Putumayo World Music Hour, a radio show that introduced listeners to music from every corner of the globe. Storper sadly passed away this May after battling Pancreatic cancer. His legacy and love for the world left a lasting impact and will continue to do so for years to come. CLZ will always carry the influence of Storper’s contributions to the radio world and music as a whole, and we would like to formally extend our deepest condolences to his family and friends.

If you would like to see more from his life and shows brought to you by Putumayo, you can visit, Dan Storper Memorial Page | Putumayo.
