Congratulations to Elena Henry of Peaks Island who won Won Our Bonnaroo Flyaway!

Elena’s entry:

“Pick us! Pick us! My husband and I love music! We love traveling! We love art! We love camping! And we love meeting people! We are newly married, in our fifties, and our relationship has always been about all of these. Our wedding ceremony was songs we first heard on WCLZ – my children walked me down the aisle to Norah Jones “Come Away With Me” and our marriage was sealed with a kiss to “Home” by Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes. We love Death Cab for Cutie, and before we “follow each other into the dark” we want to experience the great variety of Bonnaroo music and creativity. These are the songs of our love and our life, and a trip to Bonnaroo would be a time to discover more artists and songs to love! We have been up and down the east coast, traveling and camping, exploring and meeting new people, and we have always wanted to go to Bonnaroo! We have friends and family who have worked there, in security, arts, cleanup, and we want to do it too! We come from families of artists and the the arts in all forms, we go to free Friday art walks, Monhegan Island, Space – we explore the arts everywhere we go. We love all types of music- our wedding playlist ranged from Frank Sinatra to Michael Franti to Grateful Dead, with Maine artists Audrey Ryan and John Murdock, Bob Dylan to Brandi Carlile. Please Please Please pick us for this amazing experience! Thank you WCLZ and Bonnaroo!!!!”
