Why radio? Always loved music, always loved talking about it. A career in radio seemed like a no-brainer.
Why CLZ? Doesn't sound like any other station in Portland.
What would people be most surprised to learn about you? I come from an enormous family. I'm the 8th of 9 children!
What is your favorite artist/band/album? Pick just one?? No way! Bands/artists I can't live without would include: REM (Murmer, Life's Rich Pageant, Automatic For The People - all amazing) Pink Floyd, (especially Animals and Piper At The Gates of Dawn) Johnny Cash (American Recordings is stunning) Black Sabbath (Paranoid is essential) Ramones (love everything they ever did!)
Music people would be surprised you love? CLZ listeners may be surprised to know that I am a huge, Huge, HUGE fan of heavy metal. I also have a weakness for Journey... and yes, The Very Best Of The Little River Band holds a place of honor in my CD collection.
What is your favorite thing about/place in Maine? The interesting contrasts. Last year, driving down the street where I live in Westbrook, I saw one house with a Mercedes parked in the driveway. The driveway of the house next door had a beat up old truck with a gutted deer in the back. Where else but Maine?
What is the last book you read? Just finished Melancholy Baby by Robert B. Parker. Currently reading Comfortably Numb: The Inside Story of Pink Floyd by Mark Blake.
What is the worst job you have ever had? Taking hotel reservations over the phone. Customer service just isn't my thing :)
Favorite website(s) www.bigtakeover.com - On-line version of my favorite music magazine. www.straightdope.com - On-line version of the question-and-answer newspaper column www.snopes.com - Got one of those "OMG!! Urgent Warning! Forward to everybody you know!!!" e-mails? Check its authenticity here.
TV shows you can’t miss? Family Guy, South Park, American Experience and any of those VH1 Classic Album shows, regardless of the album they're talking about (I now know more about MeatLoaf's Bat Out Of Hell than I ever thought humanly possible)
