Coldplay Boost Security Over Album Leak Fears
|
British rockers Coldplay are determined to keep their new album under wraps until its release date - they've set up strict security procedures to make sure it doesn't leak.
The Clocks hitmakers are currently working on their fifth record at their own studio in north London, and they have encrypted computer files containing their new tracks to keep the songs secret.
Frontman Chris Martin tells NME.com, "There's only two people in the whole building who know how to open all the recording files. Even we (the band) don't know how to do it. We couldn't even steal our own music at the moment. You would have to be a computer genius and a great burglar to get into the building, and download it, and mix it."
And the singer hopes the new album will be ready by the end of 2010, adding: "Hopefully (it will be released) this Christmas."
