Evergreen Cemetery is easily one of my favorite places in Portland. The trees are a big part of that - and now the aging trees need some help. This article in the Portland Daily Sun explains why, and what a nonprofit group is doing to try to keep Evergreen green for the future.

Oh, and here's a great article about a study about how to increase the number of cyclists in cities.
Bike on, friends. Safely.
Biking with all these beads hanging off your bike is probably not safe.
When I was in university in Halifax, the pedicab guys always impressed me - biking up and down hills pulling two tourists at a time? Crazy! And now, I can be just as impressed by the pedicab drivers of Portland! Maine Pedicab opened for business this month. Read all about it here
