Carbon Neutral

‘CLZ is proud to be Maine’s first carbon neutral radio station

We’ve evaluated our total energy use including:

  • The cost of transmitting our signal
  • Office and studio lights
  • Heating and cooling
  • Producing promotional items like CDs, re-usable totes and aluminum water bottles

To offset our impact so we can be carbon neutral in 2014 we’ve partnered with Reverb and Atlantic Records to purchase carbon offsets.

This year we’ve chosen a project in Colorado working with the Southern Ute Tribe. It captures methane that naturally seeps from coal seams and adds it to the natural gas system.
